GMIC Beijing 2016 Unveiled Today

On April 28, Beijing – on the morning, the 8th Global Mobile Internet Conference (GMIC) was unveiled at China National Convention Center. Themed with “Mobile Infinity”, the conference, a top-notch conference for mobile Internet, aims to set up a cross-industry and interdisciplinary platform for thinking collision.

Tesla Motors Global Vice President and President of Asia-Pacific Region Ren Yuxiang made a keynote speech at Thought Leader, the main session of GMIC and demonstrated the latest pure electric SUV Model X of Tesla at the GMIC exhibition zone. It is reported that Tesla MODEL X made a debut at Geneva Automobile Exhibition in March 2016. It is an all-electric SUV with pre-safe functions and CBW defense of air-conditioning system.
Wu Gansha, the former chief engineer of Intel Labs China, also attended the summit. Previously, media reported that Wu Gansha, DeepGlint and National Smart Car Future Challenge Championship Team Leader Jiang Yan jointly set up Uisee, an automatic driving company. The founders of the company attended the conference for the first time and showcased the company’s new automatic driving technologies.
In the Future Summit, big-name guests from all over the world including Tang Xiaoou (a leading authority in the field of computer vision), Gary Bradski (former President of Magic Leap) and Chris Anderson (CEO and Founder of 3D Robotics) made seven keynote speeches. At the conference, six top-level demo shows were conducted and several products related to black technology were launched globally for the first time, covering robotics, computer vision, AI, drone, automatic driving, VR/AR and exoskeleton, etc. During the conference, UC Berkeley Robotics and Human Ergonomics Lab Director Kazerooni, in the capacity of CEO and founder of SuitX, introduced the complete exoskeleton products, which were launched globally for the first time, bringing a good news to leg-handicapped persons and children with cerebral palsy.
GMIC Beijing 2016 has redefined mobile entertainment. Changing entertainment by technical means of VR panoramic live telecast for the first time
One of new highlights of the conference is that the amazing VR technology is used for panoramic live telecast of the conference at the main venue and the “GMIC Annual Awards” held at the National Stadium, replacing the traditional model of live broadcast. It is the first attempt of the industry for spectators to experience future science and technologies in this way.
