Leading Women Executives and Entrepreneurs to Speak at GMIC SV 2014

Below are some of the women speakers confirmed to speak at GMIC SV 2014:

  • Leah Busque, Founder & CEO, TaskRabbit

Leah Busque is the Founder and CEO of TaskRabbit, a website and mobile app that allows people to outsource small jobs and Tasks to people in their community. Since bootstrapping TaskRabbit in 2008, Leah has expanded the company internationally, raised nearly $40 million in venture funding, and inspired legions of startups to launch in the collaborative and service networking space.

  • Catherine Porter, Vice President, Business and Corporate Development, OpenTable

Catherine Porter is the Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at OpenTable where she directs growth through partnerships and acquisition for the company. Prior to OpenTable, Catherine launched and led LinkedIn’s Japan market entry and directed several business development initiatives.

  • Kate Courteau, Director of Non-Profits, Y-Combinator

Kate Courteau is the director of nonprofits at Y-Combinator.  She joined the Y-Combinator team in 2005 as their chief actual architect and has been in charge of design and facilities ever since. She has also run her own private architectural practice since 2000. As a part of this practice she has been active in the nonprofit world leading various projects in North America and Africa.

  • Katy Ashe, Chief Design Officer & Co-Founder, Noora Health

Katy is Chief Design Officer and co-founder of Noora Health, a health tech nonprofit that trains marginalized patients and their families with high-impact health skills to improve outcomes and save lives. Noora uses interactive voice messaging to provide health support and training to patient families living in rural India where healthcare is sparse.

  • Whitney Bouck, GM of Enterprise and SVP of Global Marketing, Box

Whitney Bouck is Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and General Manager of Enterprise at Box. In her role, Whitney drives all marketing, branding, and customer acquisition for the business worldwide, and founded the enterprise business for Box, establishing the strategy engaging with and servicing the largest businesses in the world.

  • Yunha Kim, CEO & Co-founder, Locket

Yunha Kim is CEO and Co-founder of Locket, the first US company to deliver inspiring and relevant content on your smartphone lock screens. Backed by prominent investors including Great Oak VC, Turner’s Media Camp and Tyra Banks, Locket has been profiled by Bloomberg, TechCrunch, VentureBeat and Engadget. Recognized by Business Insider as advertising’s “30 Most Creative Under 30”, Yunha graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 2011 with degrees in Economics and Chinese.

  • Linda Kozlowski, VP Worldwide Operations, Evernote

Linda has more than 19 years of experience in international marketing, business development, operations, public relations and customer service. At Evernote, she leads Worldwide Operations, including global expansion, regional office management and development, marketing, and partnerships.

  • Edith Yeung, Partner, 500 Mobile Collective Fund

Edith Yeung is VP of marketing/business development at Dolphin Browser, a Sequioa-backed mobile browser with over 100 million installs worldwide. She also founded RightVentures – seed stage investment firm focusing on mobile and consumer internet companies. Some of her investments include Fleksy, Mighty Text, Pack, Bounce.io etc. She is also an advisor to Strikingly.

  • Shirley Lin, VP, Global Business Development, YeahMobi

Shirley is the VP, Global Business Development at YeahMobi – a division of NDP Media.  Based in San Francisco, she is responsible for the international marketing while setting up branch offices including US, Europe and Latin America. YeahMobi is a mobile advertising network and user acquisition platform. Shirley has been advising various startups in China, Israel, Greece and Italy.
