Join three of the founding members of Internet.org and GMIC SV 2013 G-Startup winner Open Garden as they discuss our shared vision of bringing connectivity to the next 5 billion users.
The founding members of internet.org — Facebook, Ericsson, MediaTek, Nokia, Opera, Qualcomm and Samsung plan to develop joint projects, share knowledge, and mobilize industry and governments to bring the world online.
Pat Wu, Strategy & Planning Lead at Facebook will present an overview of Internet.org and share the latest data from its initiatives. He will be joined by other panelists Jean-Christophe Laneri, Director – Mobile Broadband, Ericsson; Srikanth Raju, Regional Head of Developer Experience – APAC, Microsoft, and Micha Benoliel, CEO & Co-founder, Open Garden. The moderator, Clement Teo, senior analyst at Forrester Research, will then lead the panelists in a discussion on the major hurdles and opportunities in connecting those in emerging markets.
From the business impact of such initiatives to the technology side of things, the panel will look at various aspects of this ambitious initiative.
