Yu Yongfu, CEO of UCWeb, Will Speak About China’s Most Popular Mobile Web Browser

As CEO of China’s most popular mobile web browser, Yu Yongfu is another big player in this week’s keynote speakers roundup. UCWeb has generated some considerable buzz in China with its award-winning browser “UC Browser” (see Reader’s Choice 2012) since the company was founded in 2004. After conquering the mobile market in the Middle Kingdom, UCWeb is now setting its sights on the US, the next step on its road to internationalization. According to Mr. Yu, “In order for UCWeb to become international, the US has become an important target for us.”

With UCWeb’s focus specifically on the browser sector of mobile Internet, we are keen to hear about what plans Mr. Yu has for their move overseas. With a broad understanding of the telecom, Internet, and media industries in China, Mr. Yu will likely have some interesting insights to share with us. Join us at GMIC 2012 to hear more.

Calvin Smith, the Managing Editor for mobiSights, interviewed Yu Yongfu earlier this year for The Agenda.  The interview can be found here.
